Has there been any development regarding HESK and Active Directory integration?
I am looking for a Ticket system and HESK ticks all the boxes except AD integration for my users.
I want the Ticket system to auto fill user and email from who is logged in to the computer when they submit a ticket

I think this is also what you are talking about:

Just saw this post after I placed the new one. -

You don't want to import users - just allow plain vanilla authentication of the web server and trust the usernames that then get presented to the system. Most amateur systems start off with the design of a hardcoded list of local users, but this would never scale. Most systems of that type then get trapped in a loop of importing the list of users every night from some other source (e.g. an AD) but that's broken as well, especially for a help desk.

Not just for users, but also for people creating the ticket, so they can put their emails and HESK can lookup the name, or the oposite way.

yes, LDAP and Active Directory authentication is very useful, auto pupulate the name and email, department into the new ticket forrm will be great!

I would also like the ability to automatically populate the Name and Email fields from Active Directory. The software could pull the current logged on user. You would also need the ability for an Admin to overwrite so they could put in a ticket for someone else. Maybe on the Admin side it is a lookup similar to an Outlook/Exchange address book.
