Not everyone in the world has a google account... This needs to be transparent to the user if it is going to work.
Why not use JQuery - IE:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<body>
<div id="browser"></div><div id="os"></div>
<script src="./jquery-1.3.2.js"></script>
<script src="./jquery.client.js"></script>
<script>
$('#browser').html("You are using <b>" + $.client.browser + "</b>");
$('#os').html(" on a <b>" + $.client.os + "</b> based computer");
</script>
</body>

Just add Google analytics. User enters their account ID and add the code to the footer.
