vacation mode
if a staff member is out of office, it should be possible to enable vacation mode. If enabled, no ticket assignment is possible or another staff is alerted.

Great Idea! I would have needed this just now. If I'm on holiday I sohuld have the option to define a person who does the temporary replacement for me. That means he gets the notification for answers of tickets originally assigned to me.

As we are a school, I would love to take this further and have the option to completely close the Helpdesk during holiday periods with a customisable message.

Nice idea. Staff should be able to define how long they would be on "vacation" or similar (i. e. 2 weeks, 1 month etc.)

In vacation mode, have a pop up window when a the "Submit" ticket is clicked, the window explains that staff will be unavailable, and it can provide customer links to support pages as an alternative
